Park One Starts Cycling Club To Make Employees More Fit and Social

Cycling is great for recreation, exercise, and saving our planet from pollution.

And, as Park One has learned, it’s also great for employee team building.

Park One’s new cycling club has close to a dozen employees riding three days a week throughout Miami’s scenic landscape.

“Many of our employees really enjoy riding with each other – it’s a fantastic bonding opportunity,” said Bijan Eghtedari, CEO of Park One.

Organized by avid cyclist, Jonathan Tovar, who is Park One’s district manager, the club meets at 6 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays in Coconut Grove and rides out to Key Biscayne and back, totaling close to 60 miles over a three-hour period.

“It’s a lot of fun and really good for employees to get to know each other outside of work,” Tovar said.

The Park One cycling club will ride in the Nov. 10 Gran Fondo event through Miami and Coral Gables. The club also envisions doing charity rides in the near future to benefit local causes.

The company has purchased 30 cycling uniforms with plans to get as many employees to participate in the club.

“Cycling has so many benefits, so we’ve made it a part of our company’s culture,” Eghtedari said. “We want our employees to be more fit and more social with each other.”
